Joanne Robbins | Partner
When Joanne Robbins was a summer associate, still in law school, she planned on a career in litigation. Then she met Richard Gass. Richard told her, “You belong in real estate.” Eventually, after successfully practicing in both fields, Ms. Robbins decided he was right. Joanne preferred to be constructive rather than purely confrontational, to strive toward a common goal rather than playing a zero sum game.
Working at large firms for more than a decade, Ms. Robbins gained valuable experience handling highly sophisticated real estate deals. However, she was uncomfortable with the impersonal, piecemeal approach she found at other firms: in any given transaction, multiple attorneys worked largely in isolation from each other, never seeing the big picture. At Dionne & Gass LLP, by contrast, Joanne works as part of a cohesive team that sees deals through from start to finish. Her clients notice how leanly deals are staffed, and they view Joanne as a business advisor rather than simply a legal counselor.
“My clients trust me to be familiar with their overall business strategy, and to understand how all of their transactions work together.”
