Josh Bowman's representation of the real estate industry includes the representation of developers, financial institutions, retail tenants, hotel franchisees and contractors primarily involved with retail, hospitality and industrial properties. Josh has an extraordinarily broad level of experience that includes analyzing and structuring complex joint ventures, coordinating projects of significant scope and complexity and providing strong negotiation skills throughout the development process.
Mr. Bowman has coordinated several high profile projects within the City of Boston, including the permitting and construction of several Marriott brand hotels and the acquisition and financing (including structuring of debt and equity) of several large portfolios. Outside of Boston, Josh has assisted numerous clients with large financings, ground leases, permitting and licensing issues, joint ventures, 1031 exchanges (including construction exchanges and reverse exchanges), retail leases, hotel franchise agreements and portfolio acquisitions and dispositions including properties throughout New England and New York, where Josh is also licensed to practice law.
In addition to Mr. Bowman's strong background in real estate law, he also has extensive experience assisting large clients with corporate issues including stock agreements, LLC Operating Agreements, ESOPs and mergers and acquisitions.
Josh has been named a "Massachusetts Rising Star" by the publishers of Boston Magazine for the past 4 years in a row, which is an honor bestowed on less than 2.5% of the lawyers admitted to practice in Massachusetts who are either under 40 years old or have been practicing law for 10 years or less.
